- Shot in 42 days.- Director 'Ruben Fleischer' (qv) has said that he was inspired to make this by _Shaun of the Dead (2004)_ (qv).
- The amusement park scenes were filmed at Wild Adventures Theme Park, in Valdosta, GA.
- The script, originally a television pilot, was heavily revised to become a feature film.
- 'Patrick Swayze' (qv) was offered a cameo role as a zombie before his cancer diagnosis. His scene would have parodied other Swayze movies like _Ghost (1990)_ (qv) and _Dirty Dancing (1987)_ (qv).
