- Despite having "Police Story" in the title, this film has nothing to do with Chan's other Police Story films.

- 'Jackie Chan (I)' (qv) sings the theme song, "September Storm".

- 'Jackie Chan (I)' (qv) himself filmed an explosion scene. When the fiery police car came sliding dangerously close, the crew jumped out of the way and tried to pull Jackie out of harm's way.
