Trivia of X-Mass

- The prosthetic effects for Zombie Ted took up to four hours to apply and were designed by special make up effects artist Hannah Eccelstone of Ecclestone effects. They were the most ambitious and elaborate prosthetic effects ever created for an NFTS student film.

- The puppets were created for the film by students at the Wimbledon College of art. They were life sized and consisted of three separate creatures parts of which were detachable and could be re-combined to create numerous gruesome variations. The puppet sequences were all animated by hand by the films writer/director Scott Flockhart.

- Post production house Rushes Post Production loved the film so much that they agreed to support the film.

- As written, the character of The Priest was intended to be a broken down old vicar whose one love in life was whiskey, but on meeting actor Joey McCoy, Scott Flockhart decided to change the character into the Vatican's top exorcist - a kind of holy 007 with a license to exorcise.

- The elaborate sets created for the film by production designer Will Field were among the biggest and most ambitious ever created for a student production at the NFTS.
