- Based on a real blackout on November, 10th, 2009. Heavy rain, lightning and strong winds caused blackouts that left nearly a third of Brazilians - some 60 million people - in the dark.

- The film is set on the real The Island of Brocoió. The island was a prison of rebellious native-Brazilians and also a landmark of importance to the society and history of Rio de Janeiro. That places housed a mansion built by the traditional Guinle family, the same who owned the famous Copacabana Palace Hotel. The mansion was used by the family until the 1940's. After that period it was commissioned as the official summer residence of the Governor of the State of the Rio de Janeiro having hosted international personalities who stayed at the island. During the last ten years the Island was closed, without maintenance and with no visitors. Nowadays is being renovated and the plans are to open to public visitation in 2010. Full Trivia >>
