- _Quantum of Solace (2008)_ (qv) director 'Marc Forster' (qv) has mentioned that he isn't planning on signing-on to direct this movie.

- MGM announced plans to release Bond 23 in November 2012; composer 'David Arnold (I)' (qv) stated in a September 2010 interview that the absolute earliest this film could be released is late 2012.

- This will be the 23rd James Bond movie in the EON Productions official series and the 25th James Bond film overall.

- This movie is not expected to be a direct follow-on from _Quantum of Solace (2008)_ (qv) and _Casino Royale (2006)_ (qv) which the former was a direct sequel to the latter. Producer 'Barbara Broccoli' (qv) has said that the series "will go on to other different stories from now on." However, there still is likely to be the appearance of the QUANTUM organization, but with different villains.
